KNOX CO., Ill. (KWQC) - Two people were charged after a trailer containing $50,000 worth of construction tools and a flatbed were stolen from a construction site.

The tools, equipment and trailers were stolen from a construction site outside of Victoria, Illinois, on Aug. 19, Knox County sheriff deputies said.

Several of the tools were found in Galesburg by detectives, according to the news release.

Police charged Rebecca Muckey, 37, and Luke Simkins, 39, both from Galesburg, Illinois, after the pair were found hiding in the home on the 1600 block Beecher Avenue.

A stolen car that officials said was used in the burglary was returned to its owner.

The enclosed trailer and flatbed trailer were found at a remote area out of Victoria, officials said.
