One of the most popular roller coasters at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee is back open for business after being shut down for month than a month during the busy summer season.
According to a Facebook post from the suburban amusement park, Maxx Force, in the located in the Carousel Plaza part of the park, reopened Sunday.
A spokesperson for the park previously told NBC Chicago the ride, billed as the having the "fastest inversion of any coaster in the world," was closing for maintenance.
According to park officials, the ride also has the "fastest accelerating launch" on a roller coaster in North America.
