CLEVELAND, Ohio — Even though Cavs point guard Darius Garland’s offseason was spent mostly in the weight room while recovering from toe surgery, he has returned to the court for basketball activities and will participate in training camp in a “very” limited capacity.

There is still no timetable for Garland’s return. The plan is to slowly ramp up his conditioning.

Sources tell cleveland.com that he could miss around 10-15 games at the start of 2025-26.

“The toe looks good, and he feels good,” president of basketball operations Koby Altman said Tuesday morning.

Garland battled turf toe at the end of the regular season — an injury that cost him four playoff games and eventually required offseason surgery.
