Baton Rouge's local ABC-affiliate channel, WBRZ, is planning to air Jimmy Kimmel's show on Tuesday despite other Louisiana stations continuing to preempt his return to TV.
ABC announced last week that it was suspending "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" over comments the host made following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
ABC then announced Monday it would resume airing the show to "avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country."
However, two of the largest owners of ABC affiliate networks, Sinclair and Nexstar, said they would preempt the show.
WBRZ, a locally owned ABC affiliate, appears to be in the minority both locally and nationally in its plans to air the Kimmel program.
