A suspect in a fleeing vehicle jumped over a partially open drawbridge in Seattle.
The Seattle Police Department told KING-TV they were pursuing a suspected stolen vehicle when the driver turned onto the bridge, which was in the process of closing.
The suspect bypassed the stopped traffic, broke through a safety barrier and jumped the car over the gap in the bridge.
Police did not follow suit, instead stopping short. They later told The Seattle Times, "It's not the movies — we would never do anything like that."
Police said they later found the vehicle damaged and abandoned; the suspect had fled the scene.
