SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Tyre Trak Automotive, a family-owned tire shop in Springfield, is closing their doors after 42 years of serving the community on September 26.

The news felt sudden for customers, but the shop’s manager, Harley Andrew, told us they were notified by their landlord just weeks ago that their building had been sold, and that they had until the end of the year to vacate.

Andrew shared with us what he and many of his coworkers will miss most: “I’m going to miss what we do and I’m going to miss our customers… If you lined up all our customers in a row, it’s a fine group of people and I’m to miss them and I’m going to miss what we do.”
