Shillong, Sep 23: The Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) held its convocation at the Lariti International Centre for Performing Arts and Culture here today.
The event brought together 1,005 graduates, including 37 PhD recipients, marking a significant milestone in the university’s expansion in academics and research.
Chancellor Dr. Glenn C. Kharkongor unveiled a portrait and presented citations of former VC Robert Garnett Lyngdoh, which were received by his sister and former cabinet minister Ampareen Lyngdoh.
Additionally, a grant of 50 lakhs was announced towards the RG Lyngdoh Memorial Fund with a committee to be chaired by MLCU board member Patricia Mukhim.
