New Delhi: Every devotee is bowing before Maa Durga in reverence during Navratri 2025 or Shardiya Navratri 2025 to earn her blessings for well-being and prosperity. This is a vibrant nine-day festival celebrated with great fun, enthusiasm and grandeur every year. In 2025, it commenced on Monday, September 22, and concludes on October 2 with Durga Visarjan. During this period, devotees offer prayers to Maa Durga and worship her nine divine manifestations, known as the Navadurgas, each day.

On Navratri third day, devotees pray to Maa Chandraghanta, the third powerful form of Goddess Durga. Known for the bell-shaped half-moon or chandra on her forehead, she is a fierce warrior with ten arms holding various weapons, and rides a lion to symbolise strength, courage and the fight against evil.
