Owners and caregivers at Universal Ostrich Farm are being asked to leave.

RCMP have served search warrants at the Edgewood farm following a Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) cull order.

Under those orders, police have told the owners that the property is now in control of CFIA and no one except RCMP is allowed on it.

Police have given the owners the option to leave the farm voluntarily or be arrested and charged.

Katie Pasitney is spokesperson for the farm which her mother Karen Espersen owns with partner Dave Bilinski.

Pasitney is keeping the world in the loop on Facebook and with a live YouTube video of one of the ostrich pens.
