RYDER CUP fans might want to pack for some wet conditions as the forecast rolls in for this week's action.

Practice rounds began on Monday at Bethpage Black golf course in New York .

Competitors from both Team USA and Team Europe will be eager to get some reps in before the action proper begins on Friday.

However, their chance to do that looks increasingly uncertain as the forecast for Bethpage, NY darkens going into the next few days - according to accuweather .

The grim forecast has already forced Thursday's opening ceremony to be brought forward to Tuesday as the organisers attempt to avoid the worst of it.

Tuesday's practice will remain hot and humid, with a chance of thunderstorms arriving in the late afternoon and evening.
