Engineers with B.C.’s Transportation Ministry are headed for the picket lines.
The Professional Employees Association said Tuesday that it is escalating job action to include its licensed professional members who serve as engineers with the ministry.
Engineers oversee the province’s highway network and infrastructure projects.
“British Columbians expect safe roads, reliable bridges, and reasonable spending of public dollars,” said Melissa Moroz, executive director with PEA.
“This can only happen with qualified professionals on the job. It’s time for the government to make fair compensation a priority so these experts can get back to work.”
