A cyclist has died in a crash with a truck near a train station in Melbourne’s northwest.

The man was struck on Rankins Rd in Kensington about 12.45pm on Monday.

The cyclist was treated at the scene but he could not be saved.

“The exact circumstances of the collision are being investigated and police are speaking with the truck driver,” police said.

Police and paramedics remain at the scene.
