A shortage of athletic court space in the Portland metropolitan area has prompted one entrepreneur to develop what could become the region’s largest indoor sports facility—a $40 million to $50 million complex that would house dozens of courts and attract tournaments from across the Pacific Northwest.

FuturePlay Sports, led by founder and President Micah Wilson and an all-women executive team, is planning a 141,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility in Happy Valley, near Adrienne C. Nelson High School in Clackamas County.
