THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The University of Health Sciences has issued a notification allocating 600 more MBBS seats in Kerala. This comes after receiving the approval of the National Medical Commission.
With this, the number of MBBS seats in the state has increased to 5155. The seats in Travancore Medical College-Kollam have increased from 150 to 200. The seats have been increased from 200 to 250 in Malabar College-Kozhikode, from 200 to 250 in Al Azhar Medical College Thodupuzha, from 150 to 250 in Jubilee-Thrissur, by 150 in the new medical college in Palakkad, from 150 to 200 in SUT in Thiruvananthapuram, and from 200 to 250 in PK Das College in Vaniyamkulam. 50 seats each have already been allocated in Kasaragod and Wayanad Government Medical Colleges.
