Brant OPP are investigating a serious collision between a motorcycle and a motor vehicle just after 9 p.m. on Monday.
The collision occurred at Highway 24 and Colborne Street West resulting in the motorcyclist being thrown 20 feet in the air before landing on the roadway and sustaining injuries not considered to be life-threatening, said Brant County OPP.
Police say the motorcyclist, a 41-year-old male, was driving a stolen motorcycle and had previously been disqualified from driving three times. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor to the collision.
The accused has been charged with four counts of operation while prohibited, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Northbound lanes of Highway 24 were closed for the investigation and removal of vehicles,
