TEXAS – A jury began deliberations in the manslaughter trial of Tony Earls Jr., who is accused of the 2022 shooting death of 9-year-old Arlene Alvarez.

Proceedings resumed late Wednesday morning at the Harris County Criminal Justice Center. Arlene’s family was present in the courtroom during closing arguments, while Earl appeared observant as both sides addressed the jury for their final statements.
