TAMA COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A man living in Iowa was sentenced after illegally returning to the United States multiple times.

In June, 37-year-old Angel Aranda-Vazquez, a citizen of Mexico, pleaded guilty to being found after illegally reentering.

Police say Aranda-Vazquez attempted to use illegal identification documents in Tama County after he was deported from the United States.

He illegally returned to the United States multiple times, according to court documents.

Aranda-Vazquez was sentenced to over five months in federal prison along with one-year of supervised release following imprisonment.
