MITCHELL, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - After the City Council meeting in Mitchell on Monday, it’s looking like a second fire station is in the works.
Currently, the station is proposed in the 2026 budget for $2,500,000, and would be built on the north side of the city near the Water Treatment Facility on Highway 37.
Mitchell Mayor Jordan Hanson shared a conceptual rendering and expressed excitement in a Facebook post made on Tuesday.
