INDIANAPOLIS — One Indianapolis woman has created a food pantry that has fed more than 53,000 people across the city in just five years.

DeAndrea Rayner, also known as "The Fridge Lady," started her pantry in an old newspaper box and has since expanded to seven refrigerators across Indianapolis where people can take what they need for free.

Rayner joined anchor Cameron Ridle and journalist Deja Studdard on FOX59 Tonight for a Deep Dive with Deja segment, where she shared how she invested $250 to buy the first fridge for her community. Since then, major companies like DoorDash, Trader Joe’s, and Kroger have stepped up to support the initiative.
