TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNW) — Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced Tuesday that his office has filed a lawsuit against Snap, Inc., the creator of Snapchat, accusing the company of deceptive and harmful practices that target young people.

The suit, filed in Washington County District Court, claims Snapchat is marketed as safe for teens but exposes them to “dangerous and mature content” including profanity, sexual material, nudity and drug use. Kobach said the app is intentionally designed to be addictive.
