A Hartford man is facing several charges after allegedly violating five protective orders during a domestic incident in Newington before attempting to flee from police.

Officers were dispatched to an undisclosed location in Newington on Saturday for a domestic dispute, according to the Newington Police Department .

It was alleged that Daniel Sampel, 25, forced entry into the residence by breaking the front door and then assaulted a woman, police said. According to police, there were five protective orders in place stating that Sampel was not allowed at the residence.

Police said the woman and two juveniles were located in the residence. The woman was able to call for help as Sampel fled the scene in a vehicle, according to police.
