On Sept. 12, an individual wrote a letter to The Newnan Times-Herald concerning Project Sail.

In the letter, he stated all the benefits he thought the data center would bring to Coweta County: an improved smaller footprint so they will be a better neighbor, drawing water at an approved rate from the county (9 million gallons a day), and creating jobs, mostly during construction and not during operation.

Everyone has their opinion, and the outcome will affect everyone in our county. I noticed that this person was from Dallas, Texas, not Coweta County, Georgia. One simple DuckDuckGo search revealed that J.C. Witt from Dallas, Texas, is a senior vice president of data centers for Prologis. He did not state his employer or title in the letter to the editor.
