A dog is finally getting the chance to ditch the hundreds of dangerous parasites that have been plaguing him.
On Sept. 16, a pup, later named Microsoft Office , arrived at Austin Pets Alive's animal hospital covered in thousands of ticks. Microsoft Office had ticks lining his face, ears, and more. The case was the "worst tick infestation" that Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) vet Dr. Shvil had ever seen, according to the rescue.
The 3-year-old dog arrived at APA!, and its Shelter Pet Hospital, after being rescued by Raymondville Animal Shelter, a rural Texas shelter. When Microsoft Office reached the APA!, he was too weak to stand and anemic. The shelter's hospital immediately began treatment, starting with a blood transfusion to give the drained dog a boost.
