Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, today recommended convening the Legislative Assembly from October 13, official sources said. The proposal will now be sent to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for approval.
While there was no official announcement on the Assembly session, a government spokesman said the Cabinet meeting at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, discussed several agenda items concerning public welfare, administrative efficiency, and developmental priorities across the union Territory.
