A Greyhound worker was viciously stabbed Tuesday morning inside a ticketing plaza at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan, sources said.

Port Authority Police Department officers rushed to the scene near W. 40th St. and Eighth Ave. after they were alerted to the incident around 6:59 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a woman holding a bloody knife standing over a 25-year-old Greyhound employee who had suffered multiple stab and slash wounds, a PAPD source said. Witnesses told the officers the attacker had repeatedly stabbed and slashed the victim.

The attacker was taken into custody.

The officers were able to control the victim’s bleeding until EMS medics arrived and transported her to Bellevue Hospital, the source said.
