It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of event that seems to have gone largely unnoticed. But if you were in the vicinity of the Arkansas State Capitol at exactly the right time on Saturday night, you might have noticed the rotunda sporting a strange, blue glow.
What could this cerulean hue mean? Had Democrats seized the levers of power? Had Gov. Sarah Sanders ordered state buildings to sport a Blue Lives Matter motif? Was Sen. Dan Sullivan taking bong rips while marveling at black-light posters of book burnings?
Nah. It was much dumber than any of those possibilities: Sec. of State Cole Jester was simply letting one of the staff attorneys in his office use the state capitol as part of her gender-reveal party.
