OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Late Tuesday afternoon, a crash occurred at the intersection of 48th Ave. and Byron Road in Jamestown Township, Ottawa County.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said that a 2013 Audi, driven by a 40-year-old man from Hastings, was traveling north on 48th Ave when he drove through the stop sign at Byron Road.

At the same time, a 2006 Ford F550 truck pulling an asphalt trailer was also traveling through the intersection.

The Audi went into the path of the truck and they collided, sending both vehicles off the road. The Audi came to rest on its side with the truck on top of it.

The driver of the Audi was pinned in his vehicle as a result and had to be extricated. He was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries.
