An Amber Alert was issued in Colorado for a missing teenager following her disappearance on Monday

Jasmin Zapata, 16, was located safely on Tuesday afternoon

Police have taken Juan Bretado into custody in connection with her brief disappearance

A Colorado teenager believed to have been in danger was located safely hours after an Amber alert was issued for her.

Jasmin Zapata, 16, was seen in a white pickup truck at her Boulder, Co., residence on the evening of Monday, Sept. 23, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Boulder Police Department previously said.

In their alert, CBI had said Jasmin was seen "being forced into" the vehicle with two men at about 8 p.m. on Monday.

On Tuesday afternoon, CBI announced they located her safely.
