In there’s any shot of Anthony Santander being a part of the Blue Jays’ post-season plays, it’s beginning to feel more and more like a long one.

Not that the team is being anything but vague regarding the status of the big free-agent signee who was not activated for Tuesday’s critical series against the Red Sox and now has been locked on the injured list for 101 games.

The team is saying that the shoulder inflammation that sidelined him is now in the rear view. The issue, then, appears to be whether the Jays feel he can help the Jays after so much time away from competition.
