CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Centre County is taking steps to participate in a different round of opiate settlement funding.

County commissioners approved the settlement documents for another round of opiate funding at their Tuesday meeting. It is still unclear how much the county will be getting in this round, according to Centre County Drug & Alcohol Administrator Catherine Arbogast, but she says Pa. is expected to get roughly $28 million in total.

Arbogast is also unsure how many payments there will be, but does know the money will be subject to Exhibit E — which ensures the settlement funds go towards opiate programs. She hopes the money can go where it is needed.
