TURKEY CREEK, La. (KALB) - A convicted felon in Turkey Creek has been accused of possessing a gun.

According to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana Internet Crimes against Children Task Force searched a home on Sommers Street in Turkey Creek on August 28.

Authorities said Jarred Thrasher was interviewed and found to have a handgun in the home.

Thrasher was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was taken to the Evangeline Parish Jail, where he remains incarcerated at the time of this publication.
