While Jimmy Kimmel Live is returning to television TONIGHT (September 23), there are a lot of cities around the U.S. that won’t air Jimmy Kimmel ‘s comeback show.
Jimmy was pulled off the air by ABC last week after affiliate station owners Nexstar and Sinclair both announced that they would not air the show. Amid ABC’s announcement that the show is resuming new episodes, both companies are refusing to air that show on their stations.
Nexstar and Sinclair are the two biggest owners of affiliate stations in the U.S. and own ABC stations in over 100 cities. If you didn’t know, nearly every region in the country has its own station for the major broadcast networks that are owned by different companies.
TheWrap reports that there are 114 cities that will play news programming
