Gov. Ned Lamont and other public officials celebrated the restart of work on Revolution Wind as a victory for ratepayers.

They also expressed confidence this means the project will reach completion, even as the Trump administration moved to halt another previously-approved wind farm off Massachusetts.

A federal judge Monday ruled work can resume, despite a stop work order from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management last month.

“It's a really good day for our entire region and what it means for energy prices,” Lamont (D-Connecticut) said during a press conference at the New London city pier.

He was joined by Gov. Daniel McKee (D-Rhode Island) and Rep. Joe Courtney (D-2nd District).
