With less than a week before the MLB postseason begins, the Toronto Blue Jays got some good news regarding Bo Bichette.
Bichette took batting practice again on Tuesday, and it went well per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.
Matheson added that Bichette hasn’t tested his knee by running yet.
The 27-year-old shortstop has been out since Sept. 6 with a left knee sprain . That injury is expected to keep Bichette out for the remainder of the regular season, but the Blue Jays are hoping he won’t miss postseason baseball.
The Blue Jays have already secured a playoff spot , and are looking to lock down first place in the AL East Division . If they finish with a top-two spot in the American League, they’ll also earn a first-round bye — which would help ease the pressure on Bichette to return to
