NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new claim from the Trump administration is drawing concern from mothers and doctors after President Donald Trump and health officials warned against using Tylenol during pregnancy, suggesting a link to autism.

Trump said, “Don’t take Tylenol,” in Monday’s press conference on Capitol Hill. But local doctors told News 2 that the science is far more complicated.

Julie Plummer, a Nashville mother of two, said she did not notice anything unusual until her son began showing aggressive behaviors. Doctors diagnosed him with autism.

“We heard, ‘He’s on the spectrum.’ OK, well, what does that mean? And they can’t tell you,” Plummer said. “Autism really is like trying to solve a puzzle.”
