Officers with the Honolulu Police Department are looking for whoever beat a 65-year-old man at a Waikiki bus stop and left him bleeding on a mattress.
Shortly before 5 a.m. today, HPD District 6 patrol officers responded to the bus stop at Kuhio Avenue and Paoakalani Avenue following a report of an “unresponsive male lying on a mattress and bleeding from his head.”
“Upon arrival, officers located a 65-year-old male with apparent blunt force injuries to his head,” according to a statement from HPD.
The man was treated by Emergency Medical Services personnel and taken to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition, according to HPD.
