Police in York County this week charged a man with assault and making threats after he grabbed a woman and said he was going to kill her, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Police were sent to the 1700 block of San Gabriel Drive, in Springettsbury Township, around 1:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, for a domestic dispute.
Charles Knokey, 79, forcefully grabbed the woman’s arms and wrists while she cared for him, police said.
While grabbing the victim, Knokey told her he was going to kill her and she was not going to make it out of the house.
The woman managed to escape Knokey’s grasp and fled the home before calling 911. She told investigators Knokey is “crazy” and “very strong.”
Police also said Knokey had access to multiple firearms during the incident.
Knokey is charged with
