A winner of a $1.78billion jackpot admitted to being a bit resistant to changing his lifestyle – despite his sudden, new fortune.

The man who won half of the jackpot earlier this month said it has taken him some time to realize and embrace his winning.

‘I’m a millionaire, a multi-millionaire, and I’m doing laundry last night,’ he told the Missouri Lottery Commission.

The man, who has chosen and is allowed to remain anonymous under state law, described what his ideal day is like, and it doesn’t require riches.

‘I’m like a homebody,’ he said.

‘The perfect day is sitting at home doing what I do – relaxing.’

He joked that with all the incoming money, his wife is ‘going to drag me out of town now’.
