Police are hunting a 'hare coursing' gang after a car was seized in North Yorkshire . The men were seen partaking in the hare-hunting sport in a field in Pinchinthorpe, Guisborough .
Officers on patrol as part of a rural crime scheme called Operation Checkpoint seized a vehicle believed to be linked to the incident - and are now trying to trace the men as part of their inquiries.
The car was seized under the 2004 Hunting Act during the operation between the evening of Friday, September 19, and the early hours of Saturday, September 20.
Regional operation Checkpoint is coordinated by Northumbria Police, with joint operations run by Northeast forces every few months. The operation came on the back of success in the recent national rural crime week of action.
