HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – First responders are at the scene where they say a 13-year-old was shot in a neighborhood in north Harris County.

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office said it happened in the 1000 block of Ranch Oak Drive, near Hardy Street. This is in the Remington Ranch neighborhood.

Details on the shooting are limited at this time, but EMS and law enforcement are at the scene.

Authorities ask people to avoid the area as the investigation is underway.
