Metrolinx has gotten a bill from Mississauga Councillor Dipika Damerla, who wants the provincial agency to provide compensation for construction delays that disrupted the recent Taste of Cooksville festival.
Damerla, who founded the festival that took place Sept. 20-21, sent a a bill for thousands of dollars to Metrolinx “for the significant disruptions caused by Metrolinx’s ongoing construction,” and “for failing to meet their own deadlines besides multiple assurances and firm commitments,” according to a press release.
Metrolinx is building an LRT along Hurontario St. Taste of Cooksville took place along several blocks of Dundas St., between Hurontario and Camilla Rd.
