Miles Hayden of Naramata was the overall winner at the Summerland Sweets 7.4K Trail race on Sunday. Hayden bested the field of 101 runners to finish in 25:26.
Peyton Manzuik of Lake Country was the overall female winner in a time of 33:10.
In the 3.2K Fun Run, Jake Ulansky of West Kelowna was the winner in a time of 12:15.
Alicia Jell of Summerland was the top female finishing in 13:18. Sixty four runners were in that event.
The 7.4K race was put on by the Penticton Pounders Running Club and is the first race in the Starting Block Interior Trail Series.
Also put on by the Pounders, the next race in the series is the Penticton 8.2K Trail Race and 3K Fun Run on Sunday, Oct. 5 at the Carmi Recreation Trails.
