Owasso Police say an alert homeowner helped lead to the arrest of five teens accused of stealing from cars. Officers arrested the group in a neighborhood after finding stolen items.
Police say a person living in a neighborhood near 96th Street North and Garnett called officers after seeing someone try to get into cars. Investigators say several officers responded and found the car that the juveniles were in.
Officers say the driver turned the headlights off, and they all tried to hide, but police still found them. A stolen wallet and money were recovered, according to Owasso Police.
Investigators say the juveniles were from Tulsa. Their names will not be released since they are all underage.
