ORLANDO, Fla. – There are two tropical waves in the Atlantic basin worth noting.

The tropical wave further east in the Central Atlantic is likely to turn and take a path similar to Gabrielle and Erin.

This wave currently has a 90% chance for tropical development over the next seven days.

A wave closer to the Caribbean now has a 70% chance for tropical development over the next seven days.

The most likely outcome for the tropical wave near the northeast Caribbean is an eventual turn away from Florida, but its future isn’t as cut and dry.
