ROCHESTER - With roughly 2 minutes to go in a Division I girls soccer matchup between Seacoast foes Dover and Spauling, the visitors were protecting a two-goal lead.

That's when a ball got past Dover goalie Norah O'Malley, who was about 20 yards in front of the net. O'Malley quickly tracked the ball down and dove to come up with the possession as a pair of Red Raiders were closing in.

The Green Wave held on for a 2-0 win, collecting not only their fifth win of the season, but also their fifth shutout.

That hustle is the type of effort that has Dover, now 5-3, nearing the seven wins it had over the previous two seasons combined.

"I put in the most effort ever (to get to the ball)," laughed O'Malley, a senior. "I was outside the 18, so I had to let (the ball) go by me, and I didn't know
