MIDVALE — Police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide after two people were found dead inside a home Tuesday morning.

Just after 11 a.m., police responded to a residence near 7500 South and Jefferson Street in Midvale for a welfare check. When officers gained access inside the home, they located a man and woman, both deceased, according to Unified Police Sgt. Aymee Race.

A violent crimes unit and forensics teams were dispatched to the house to conduct an investigation into what is suspected to be a murder-suicide, Race said.
