In a festive gesture ahead of Durga Puja, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday announced a 3% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for government employees and pensioners.

Addressing the final day of the eighth session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly, Dr. Saha said the increase will come into effect from October 1, 2025, benefitting thousands across the state. The move will cost the state exchequer an additional Rs 125 crore.
