West Virginia State quarterback Kaleb Jackson was named the HBCU National Player of the Week by BOXTOROW after a sterling performance directing the Yellow Jackets offense on Saturday.
Jackson, a junior, hit on 16 of 23 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns as WVSU eased past West Virginia Wesleyan 45-16 on Saturday. He also ran for a score and 24 yards.
Jackson has thrown for 650 yards, three scores and one pick this season for the Yellow Jackets (2-1).
