HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The city of Hurricane has a plan to bring live entertainment to Main Street, and it starts with knocking walls down at the old fire department.
“They’re working on building the stage right now. It’s a huge stage and the whole thing will have a facelift. It won’t look like this in just a month or so from now. It won’t look anything like what you see behind me.”
Business owners said they’re excited to see something new to draw in visitors to Main Street.
“To get good live local music is something that I enjoy, but to actually have it right here across the street in Hurricane -- that’s gonna be a huge asset for Main Street,” said Jimmy Belknap, owner of Belknap Dough Company.
Matt Snyder, owner of Bear Wood Company, had similar thoughts.
