LEHI, Utah – BYU football picked up a commitment from an in-state running back in Devaughn Eka.

Eka announced his commitment on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday night.

“It’s official! I have committed to @BYUfootball,” Eka wrote on X.

“I want to thank everyone that has made this journey possible. Family, friends, coaches, and fans. Thanks [Kalani Sitake], [Harvey Unga], and [BYU Football Recruiting].”

A three-star prospect in the class of 2026, Eka picked BYU over offers from San Diego State, Sacramento State, UNLV, and others.

So far in his senior season at Lehi, Eka has rushed for 480 yards and eight touchdowns in five games. Last week at Skyridge, Eka had a season-high 20 carries for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
